BCC Attend Bridal Show at Memorial Center

Brockville, March 24, 2013 - If managing the food service for the 1000 Islands Mixed Bonspiel at the BCC wasn't enough during the weekend, Emily found time to "man" a booth at the Bridal Show held at the Brockville Memorial Center Sunday March 24th. And that's Jack behind the camera in case you can't see him.
Set-up was at 11:00 AM and the bridal show ran from 12:00 noon to 4:00 PM. It was well attended and Emily came away with a good number of leads. The Brockville Country Club hosts many wedding receptions each year given its unequaled setting and fine service.

BCC Hosts Bantam Regional Playdowns

During the weekend of March 9th, the Brockville Country Club hosted the bantam mixed and junior mixed regional playdowns. The weekend event saw 8 of the top bantam mixed and 8 junior mixed teams compete for a chance to represent our region in the provincial playdowns in early April. All 16 teams won the right to compete by virtue of their wins in one of 4 zones that make up the region. The bantam teams that advanced were from the Huntley Club in Carp and the RCMP Club in Ottawa. On the junior side, the teams that advanced were from the Rideau Club in Ottawa and the Quinte Club in Belleville.
Bantam mixed and juniors mixed playdowns signal the end of the season for many of the competitive players in the province. Congratulations to all who advanced. The Brockville Country Club was pleased to be your host.

"Country Gold" a Great Hit

Friday evening March 8, 2013 saw the return of Cliff Edwards and his troop to the Brockville Country Club singing "Country Gold"; a celebration of the hits of Country Music. Cliff, the former lead singer of "The Bells" was joined by Mary-Jo Maur, Tim Hallman and Doug Gravell; the "bell's" original drummer.
It was a wonderful show that was preceded by fine cuisine; a scrumptious 3-course meal from BCC's kitchen.
Cliff and a larger ensemble will be back to the BCC as featured entertainers for our June 22 nd Summer Series Dinner & Show on the big stage in our "Granite Hall". All four show Summer Series acts are already booked and tickets can be obtained at any time from Christianne at the office or call 613 342-2468 Ext 4.

Murderer Has Been Identified!!

Last evening (March 1st) at the Brockville Counrty Club was the scene of the Brockville Theatre Guild's comic dinner theatre murder mystery THEATRE OF HORRORS. With the BCC's 3-course meal overlaid with 3 murder mystery scenes, it was a fun and entertaining evening. With two dead, dinner participants had to fill out a ballot guessing as to who the murderer was. Only a few got the right answer, as all the Theatre Guild actors certainly played their parts well.
Next Friday, March 8th, 2013 is another great evening of dining and entertainment. Cliff Edwards returns with a new show called "Country Gold" (see below). Come join the fun! Tickets still available. Call Christianne at 613 342-3155 Ext 4 for reservations.
